I then found an old notebook with Windows 7 which was de-commisioned by us and tried it there and lo and behold, it worked with the installation and in the process I noticed that the setup started two other setups (UAC asked me for permission), namely Visual C++ 2017 and after those were installed, the rest of the setup also worked. I suspected that the Windows updates could be the reason or missing Net Framework/Visual C++ redistributables and created a VM with Win7 and installed all Windows updates on it, as well as the latest redistributables and Net Framework 4.8, but no success. According to the event logs, error 1603 is the cause. We want to install TrendMicro WorryFree Business on them, but when we try to install it, we get an error message that the installation was aborted due to an error and the installation will not continue. In our company (woodworking) we have several Windows 7 machines in production, which are decoupled from the Internet and located in a separate, isolated network. I need help installing Trend Micro on Windows 7.
